    Hi @kathleen36

    We’re seeing an increase in these types of requests and believe it’s due to the fact that PayPal is currently performing maintenance on their servers.

    You should see that most payments are processing fine with this occasional error.

    If this were a plugin bug all payment requests would be failing because of where that particular request is made.

    Kind Regards

    Hi,
    thank you very much for your quick reply!
    It seems that this is a problem on my website starting from the update hours ago. In prior to the update, there were no problems as such.

    I also tried to replicate the problem just now and got the same problem shown on the payment page. It says that the company does not deliver to your address. Please choose another address. Might this be a conflict with another plugin?

    Hi @kathleen36

    The shipping message is something different. That error is indicating that you don’t have any shipping methods configured for the address you have selected in the PayPal pop up.

    You can try downgrading to the previous version and see if the issue remains or goes away. All of our testing has been successful with the new version.

    If you do downgrade please update this thread with the results. None of the plugin code related to how payments are processed changed.

    Hi,
    just downgraded the plugin and the error finally disappeared. The version I am currently using is 1.0.18.

    I also have another problem that is not related to the one above: In prior to the update, another customer told me that he could not change the shipping address. It changed to the other address automatically, but he wanted to have the billing address as the shipping address. Do you maybe know whether this is an occuring problem too? I could not replicate the issue yet.

    Can you please clarify which error you’re referring to? Is it the shipping option notice or the API error?

    Also, since this error seems to be intermittent, it could be timing related not version related. All that code is the same between version 1.0.18 and 1.0.23.

    Thanks

    This is the error showing on the Paypal pop up:

    (company name) versendet nicht an diesen Ort. Verwenden Sie eine
    andere Adresse.

    If I don’t remember wrongly, there was not the option to choose a shipping method. But I cannot change it now as I have told my customer that the problem is resolved.

    Hi @kathleen36

    This thread is getting hard to track because you have 3 separate issues that you’re reporting. So let’s organize these issues.

    1. By downgrading to version 1.0.18, are you no longer seeing the following error:
    ERROR API error: Array
    (
    [url] => https://api-m.paypal.com/v2/checkout/orders/7DS12530US3809453
    [method] => GET
    [request] =>
    [error] =>
    )

    2. By downgrading to 1.0.18, are you no longer seeing the shipping error? It says that the company does not deliver to your address. Please choose another address

    3. It changed to the other address automatically, but he wanted to have the billing address as the shipping address. Do you maybe know whether this is an occuring problem too? I could not replicate the issue yet.

    If the customer’s shipping address info is fully populated, then the plugin will show that shipping address in the PayPal popup. The customer can change that shipping address if they desire. The PayPal plugin will never change that customer’s shipping address unless they make a change.

    Hello,

    thank you very much for your quick support yesterday!

    1. Yes, I no longer see the error. Payment has been captured successfully again on my side. Now, it says the following:

    INFO Webhook received. Event: PAYMENT.CAPTURE.COMPLETED
    INFO Webhook received. Event: CHECKOUT.ORDER.APPROVED

    2. Yes, the shipping error is no longer there since the downgrading.

    3. Thank you for the info!

    Hi @kathleen36

    Do you have a staging site where version 1.0.23 can be installed and tested? I think the errors not being present in version 1.0.18 has more to do with timing than it does the actual plugin version.

    For example, the shipping code is the same between version 1.0.18 and 1.0.23 so it should behave the same on your site.

    Kind Regards

    Hello,
    I just tried the version 1.0.23 on a staging site. The error did not happen on the staging site. Could you clarify more about the timing? Would like to know when I can update the plugin on the live site without any problems.

    Hi @kathleen36

    This API error from PayPal is intermittent and happens inconsistently. We are still seeing reports that it’s happening in PayPal’s production environment.

    Are you saying you haven’t encountered that error at all using version 1.0.18 of our plugin on your live site?

    Thanks

    Hi @kathleen36

    Can you use our contact us page? That will be good information for the PayPal team to have and I’d like to share it.

    Please reference this support thread when you use the contact us page.

    The only difference between this version and 1.0.18 is related to the item description being added to the API request.

    Thanks,
