    Hi,

    I recently started my website and integrated with UPI QR Code. It works perfectly when customers pay by scanning a QR code from Desktop. From Mobile, it also works by downloading QR code or using another mobile to scan for payment.

    However, the real problem arises when customers attempt to make payments on a mobile device using any UPI app like Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe, or any banking app using Payment Buttons (Direct Pay) option. I get different errors with different apps – For example – In Gpay, it says “Payment failed. This transaction may be risky…..” In Paytm, it says “Payment declined by receiver’s UPI Payment provider”. However, it works seemlessly by scanning the QR code.

    Hello @chetan05

    Sorry for the delay in response. For Payment button feature to work for you, UPI Intent must be activated on your UPI id (VPA). This can’t be controlled by us/you. This is set by your UPI app provider depending upon various factors. If it’s not working for you, you can try using UPI ID from some merchant/Business UPI id. If it’s still not work for you, I would suggest you to disable payment button in setting page. As this is not the issue in the plugin, this can’t be fixed.

    Thanks Gautam! I was using a merchant UPI ID and thought only that was required. Will enquire about enabling UPI intent feature or try with some other merchant/UPI id.

    Merchant UPI app provider generally does not take request to enable UPI intent, It depends upon their policy and RBI rules.

    Thanks, are their any known merchant UPI apps which work with this intent feature by default. I can try to get the merchant ID from that provider.

    PhonePe Business and HDFC smarthub vyapaar used to have UPI intent for few of the businesses. Not sure if they are still providing this feature or not.
