• Hello Cristian and others

We are setting up an educational venture for doctors. We have set up the website using s2member for subscriptions to our materials via the website. However we need to also allow people to pay for courses (which they physically attend) and in doing so give them a subscription to the materials as part of that payment. So essentially I need two options: 1 – website access only, 2 – course which needs to include website access

I have been looking but I can’t find an FAQ on that. Are you able to point me at a knowledge base article if there is one, or am I being spectacularly dense?

    Many thanks

    Russell

  • Is the website access in each case going to involve access to the same, or to different, content?

Initially the same but this is likely to change in six months or do, with course delegates having access to more info/areas on the website.

In that case, protect all your current content at s2member level 1. Then protect future content at level 2.

Then enable registration for the website only as a level 1 member, and for the course (inc website access) as a level 2 member.

By default, level 2 members can access everything that level 1 members can, but the reverse is not true, so this should work well for you.

You might also want to look into specifying different Welcome pages for the two levels.

Thank you very much. I will have a play.
