  • The error message gives you clear explanation why it is not working. You need to configure your PayFast plugin after installing. Its a really easy process, once installed and all required fields are completed it should work fine.

    Hi Stephan

Thanks for the response. My problem is everything has been set up and was running for 2 months and then suddenly it gave me this error. Do i need to configure everything from start again?

From what I can see your merchant_id and merchant_key is missing? Think that would be first step, just check if all settings still there. What have you changed before this started happening? Did you run any updates?

yes I ran updates for woocommerce theme. I also changed my bank account for payfast. I contacted them and they stated everything is running smoothly on their side.

O yes i added a facebook store also. I checked the merchant ID and Key and they are both still there and is correct.

Was trying to sort this out all day yesterday but no Joy.

Think best would be to remove PayFast plugin completely and install/configure again. Shouldn’t take you too long. My thoughts is its not communicating correctly within WooCommerce after update, upon reinstallation it should work fine again.

O and one more thing. We created a offline site to test plugins before we go live with them.

Offline site? Is that on your localhost?

    Will post again with feedback.

    Sorry Stephan

One more thing, must i uninstall the Woocommerce payfast gateway?

    Not WooCommerce, only PayFast.

    (@corne-smit)

no not woocommerce but the payfast gateway. As this is the only plugin i have for payfast?

Thats right yes, thats the plugin that integrates into WooCommerce for you to accept payments with PayFast. Just remove the plugin and install again.

Ok so i deleted the plugin. Then i reinstalled it again but all the information is still there. Am i doing something wrong?

And yes i did save after uninstalling the plugin. Its gone from the woocommerce side. Do i need to delete cache or something?
