PAYER_ACTION_REQUIRED is not a valid status

    Hi,

    I’m finding a few fatal errors in log files

    CRITICAL Uncaught WooCommerce\PayPalCommerce\ApiClient\Exception\RuntimeException: PAYER_ACTION_REQUIRED is not a valid status in /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-paypal-payments/modules/ppcp-api-client/src/Entity/OrderStatus.php:50

    It seems like the orders recover later but I wondered if it is supposed to be handled, a fatal error seems quite severe?

    In the paypal logs the corresponding line comes out like this

    WARNING Failed to capture order. PayPal API response: [UNPROCESSABLE_ENTITY] The requested action could not be performed, semantically incorrect, or failed business validation. https://developer.paypal.com/docs/api/orders/v2/#error-PAYER_ACTION_REQUIRED

    Using version 2.2.2

    Thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help.

    We have received more reports of this error, but so far we have not been able to find any disruptive outcome of this error. At the moment, we believe that this error is shown when the plugin is simply waiting for the customer to provide required details that are missing. One of the situations we are thinking about, is when the product does not have an exact time and the price changes after the order is made. In some cases, the customer would need to authorize the payment again, which could lead to this situation.

    However, we have a bug open for this, but have not found a way to reproduce this error. So if you find a way, how to reproduce this error, please let us know, and we could possibly get our developers to look into this.

    I have linked the bug to this thread, so if we make any adjustment for this error, you should be notified about it.
    If we don’t hear back from you within 2 weeks, we will mark this thread as resolved.

    Thanks Joost, sorry I missed your initial reply. We do have a lot of pre orders where people pay a deposit. I’ll try and have a look and see if I can tell if this is more likely to occur when they are just paying a deposit.
