If you are using PRO, you would set Analytics to Unique Pageviews, and then in Counting Settings tick Pay per visit, select Analytics as your counting method and incremental payment as counting system and finally set its value to .01. Hope this is clear. For any doubt I am available.

So to be clear, if I buy pro you are guaranteeing that it will keep track of unique posts for every different author and track how much I owe them if I’m paying .01 per unique view.

My concern, is that I am currently using google analytics for wordpress in order to get it to track authors by unique view rather than just total views so I have no idea what code would be required in order to use it with post pay counter…. unless the two could be used together.

Also, when you say “Plugin Stats page can be viewed by following user roles” does that mean they’ll be able to see ALL stats or just their own.

My plugin really needs something like Google Analytics for WordPress (if it’s from Yoast, it’s the very same I’m using on my own site!) to keep track of visits. Post Pay Counter PRO only grabs the data from Analytics (and yes, unique views can be used) and uses them to compute the payment.

I think it would suit your needs but don’t worry if it doesn’t: I can refund you if you buy it and discover it doesn’t work for you, really.

User roles checked in “Plugin Stats page can be viewed by following user roles” are the ones that will see the Stats link in the plugin’s menu, all the unchecked ones won’t even see it. Then, if you want to set specific permissions (whether they should only see their own stats and so on) you need to do it in the Permissions box (in the general options or by personalizing each user’s settings).

I’m sorry… another question. Does this pick up what’s owed retroactively (assuming I use google analytics so the numbers are already there) or do I need to screenshot what I owe now because it will only track from time of plugin activation.

When the plugin is installed, it pulls dats from Analytics every day, but if you want past data as well, you can go as far in the past as you want. The overview video may clarify this ??

How can I grab the data from jetpack? what could be the post_meta for jetpack?

You say in your faq that:
“You need to have a plugin who keeps track of visits, and put the post_meta name of the field in which it stores the visits (must be a number)”

well I have a plugin – jetpack and I want to use this option. what do you mean by “post_meta name”? I put some names from the database table names and it won’t work.
