Pay Later Instructions Duplicated Message

The “Pay Later” feature is not a built-in feature in WooCommerce core. Plugins like Klarna Payments or WooCommerce PayPal Payments include this option for payments.

Can you give us a bit more information on how you’ve enabled this feature in WooCommerce?

Could you please also share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Hm, the client isn’t accepting paypal payments and that hasn’t been set up, so not sure why it’s available then, but it is still proving helpful. My client is using it as a “paper check” payment option since he has the check payments option set up as bank wire instructions. (not sure why he went this route in the first place. But even if I switch them to be accurate, then it will be the instructions for bank wire that will be duplicated on the thank you page. =)

I couldn’t determine which plugin is responsible for this by looking at your system status. We will need a little more information to understand how the payment/checkout is being generated on your site.

Please provide us with full screen screenshot showing:

• Settings: The “pay later” option, the “Paper Check” option, and/or the thank you text
• Front end: The duplicated thank you text displayed to the user

First, as a general recommendation from your system status report:

Please be sure to update your PHP version and database, more information is below:

This will help your site to run using the latest versions. Be sure to back up the site before performing the updates.

Regarding the payment, by checking the site I can see you accept e-checks and I think they are being processed through the plugin:

I’ve tried deleting the message, changing the message, etc before I came here for help. I’m currently using a “-” as a placeholder because I can’t have no text or just a space as a placeholder. (If I try to delete the instructions it reverts puts the text from the description area in the instruction field, but even with a different message or a dash, the result is still a duplicate of the instructions message).

Also, I don’t know how e-checks would play an issue in this. This duplication only happens when using “pay later” payment methods, which in this case has been updated to bank wire since it was insanity to have paper check not be the paper check method). Other Methods no message and other payment methods with instructions I’ve been able to calm my client down by using a dash “-” until it’s fixed as it doesn’t draw attention.
