Path Pointed to Wrong Place – Media Uploader

  • I have yet another problem. Yesterday, I moved to a new server and a new domain. Everything has gone find so far – but I can’t upload images. Here’s the error I get:

    Unable to create directory /home/a5126510/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2009/10. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    I soon found the problem: it said “a5126510” in the directory, which is my username on my host. But that’s my OLD username from before I moved hosts. It needs to be “a6484220” instead.

    Is there any way to solve my problem and fix it again?

    Hi Chase, have you resolved this issue?
    Try manually deleting the ‘uploads’ directory on server (backing it up beforehand of course) – proceed by re-creating it, and upload it’s content back to folder.
