“Patent Infringement” claims “Lodsys LLC”

Seems to take on a common theme very quickly. Are you sure it’s about your use of WordPress? Sounds a little odd, with WordPress being a GPL application.

It appears to be our making a standard tour for an adult site, showing images, video clips and information about the site that leads to a credit card processor. There must be tens of thousands of same/similar site. Nothing extraordinary about ours except it is new. They must be trolling credit card processors for new sites who they think they can strong arm.
Bizarre to say the least.

In the search above, first they went after Apple, then developers and now end users. We are not developers. We are end users changing colors of existing themes and adding our own content.

They actually never reference the technology but just our text which simply explains whats inside.

I did indeed notice the recurring use of the term “troll” in reference to that particular entity in those articles. It might be time to seek the advice of legal counsel just to be properly informed.

Already on that. This form of trolling is apparently becoming more and more problematic. Some countries are leaving US and kicking out American companies who do it in their country.
