Pasting text includes style rules and information

  • Copying text from a word document to a verse element includes a block of style rules in the displayed content unlike normal blocks which strips out this information

    Generally speaking, pasting from a Word Document is always fraught with a little peril. Both the old editor and the new one have some issues there.

    The same old workaround of pasting into, say, notepad first, and then copy pasting again from there will prove to be a better experience for you.

    I know about some work arounds for this, but there is still something that could be improved upon here. This issue doesn’t happen in the default paragraph block, or the old editor. It’s not just word files either, it’s the same if copying from sketch files as well.

    Like I said, fraught with peril. There’s still bugs in the paste process for anything beyond the basic text. It’ll get better over time, and as the bugs get fixed.
