Hello! Every time I add a new blog post, I paste in content from a word editor. Regardless of how I paste in the content (html or not) it pastes in with the Gutenberg (gray) logos/blocks instead of the blue logo Gutenverse blocks. I then have to manually change every single header and put all the paragraphs into blue logo text editor blocks.

Is there a way to set the Gutenberg blocks as default, so I don’t have to change the headings and text every time I complete a post?

Thanks! Love the plugin, otherwise. ??

    Hi @lovemalice

Do you mean you need to use Gutenverse text editor when pasting content by default?
At the moment, we don’t have option to set Gutenverse text editor as default for copy paste content.
WordPress editor by default will use it’s paragraph block for pasted content.
We will take this as feedback and might consider adding it, but I can’t promise it will be added.

If you still have any question, please let me know.

Thanks so much for your response! I really appreciate your time and help.

Yes, partly. Headings would be a big deal to me too, though. Really anything. It takes me an extra 20 minutes or so per post to change my pasted content from WordPress to Gutenverse.

I found that if I don’t use the Gutenverse blocks, my formatting will get all crazy at random times, and my links will stop working. Do you know why that is?

Formats from your word editor might be not carried over when pasted into WordPress editor, since i assume it doesn’t have html based formatting such as <h2>this is heading</h2>. Usually if it’s html based formatting, the heading will stay as heading, list as list, etc.

I think instead of copy pasting from word editor, you can start creating the article directly from the WordPress editor using Gutenverse blocks.
That way you don’t have to work twice and start over again formatting the texts.

I do actually export html via Scrivener, but the problem is that when I paste it in, it automatically uses the WordPress headers etc. instead of Gutenverse. Are there any plans for making this default somehow?

We will consider adding it and try if it is possible to replace the default mechanism without breaking other functionality.
But I can’t promise you it will be available in the future.

If you still have any question, please let me know.
