Here’s my shortcodes – but past events aren’t showing?

Showing the Melbourne event though – which has passed?

    [ecs-list-events thumb=”true” cat=’NSW Tarot Events’ limit=’1’past=’yes’ button=”Click For More Details” excerpt=’true’ excerpt=’200′ titlesize=”18px” venue=”false”]

    [ecs-list-events thumb=”true” cat=’WA Tarot Events’ limit=’1′ past=’yes’ button=”Click For More Details” excerpt=’true’ excerpt=’200′ titlesize=”18px” venue=”false”]

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello!

Looks like the first one does not have a space between the limit='1' and past='yes' – try adding the space and see if that does the trick? You might also want to use the slug for the cat= option rather than the full name.

Otherwise, there might be another plugin/theme interfering with fetching and showing the past events.

    Cheers!

All spacing working – changed to cat slugs but only the first one is showing a past event?

    Weird.

Why is one working, but not the other 2? Any other explanation for this?

    Thanks

Plus the “What’s on in Perth” has an event coming up on the 6th of March

Figured it out – the 2 blank ones do have upcoming events.

So putting in past=’yes’ doesn’t display upcoming events.

So when they expire I’d have to go in and change the shortcode and add past=’yes’… is there a way to display one event there whether it is in the past of future so I don’t have to go in there manually and change the shortcode all the time?

    Cheers… thanks ??

    Glad you figured it out!

Yes that’s correct, past='yes' will only show past events. You can either use limit='1' and the fromdate / todate options in the pro version:

    https://eventcalendarnewsletter.com/events-calendar-shortcode-pro-options/#fromdate

Or you can add two shortcodes (one with past='yes' and one without), but then you might have two events appear if there’s one in the past and one in the future.

    Cheers!
