I have set up the following and it does not let me in. This is applied to a page not a post.
    Top of page
[ppwp passwords=”Mxxxxxxx Lxxxxxxx Pxxxxxx” whitelisted_roles=”administrator, editor”]

    at bottom of page
    [/ppwp]

    Have I done something wrong?
BTW those are not the correct passwords, just examples.

    Kind Regards

    Jon

  • Hi @jonl711,

Thanks for reaching out to us last night.

It looks like you have “double” protected your page’s content using both Single/Individual Page Protection and Partial Content Protection (PCP) – via the provided shortcode.

That’s probably why you can’t unlock the content.

Can you please try to remove the Single Page Protection and see if it works?

If it doesn’t, please provide us with the right password and screenshots of how you set up the password protection.

PS. You may want to drop us an email to hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com with the information so that we can assist you better and faster.

This is what I have on the page
    https://www.jlorenzo.com.au/password-test/
    [/] Shortcode
    [ppwp passwords= “123456” whitelisted_roles=”administrator”]
    content = Nextgen gallery
    [/ppwp]

I’m using Gutenberg as an editor in WP 5.5.3
I’m using PPWP with Partial Protection as I only want to protect by pages.
I do have Use Shortcode within Page Builder turned on.
    Sitewide Protection is off
    Integrations is off

    Hi @jonl711,

The password protection works on our side. We can unlock the page with the provided password.

Can you please double check on yours, i.e. perhaps try in an incognito mode?

If it still doesn’t work, please drop us an email to hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com with what you see on your end so that we can assist you better and faster.

    I spoke too soon.
I would like to know do I have to click on the Protect pages when setting up a page?
I have set to ‘protect’ and again it will not let me in.
same message as before. I’ve removed the blocks and reset it with shortcode block and from my phone I get a error.
This is on a live page
    https://www.jlorenzo.com.au/erotica/
I should also mention that the themes were all upgraded to ver2 from Imagerly recently and I had to reinstall NexGen. I’m wondering if I need to reinstall your plugin as well?

    Kind regards,

    Jon
