Password/username don’t work

  • No matter what I have been doing to reset both password or username, I don’t seem to exist. What to do?

    Basically, I want to create a completely new site on this domain and need to change template and content to start completely fresh. I guess that means deleting everything, maybe even setting up a new account?

    PS. I have not done anything with this site for a couple of years.

    Your advice is much appreciated.

    Yes I did reset the password yet I could NOT log in after this eiter. I used the automatic e-mailer as I’m no computer wizz. I also cleared my browsing history to ensure all is reset, still to no avail.

    Any other suggestions?

    As I said earlier, I basically want to create a completely new site on the domain using wordpress

    That’s a bit contradictary, creating a new site = creating a new database = not using your old username and password.

    If you want to use your old database and password, try some of the tehcniques outlined in that article that Rajan linked. There are 6 techniques of resetting your password. I don’t think you’ve followed them.

    Creating a completely new site is a topic for a new thread.
