Password strength field not showing with WP 3.8.3

    Hello,

    On the customer registration form, the password strength meter that is displayed below the password fields does not show any strength indication. The strength checking does not work.

    Unfortunately the things I tried (workaround indication in the support forum) did not work. I tried to re-save all the options. Also changing the password options between the default password strength to customer password strength and back, but no variant of the strength options worked.
    I also tried deactivating and deinstalling the plugin and installing it again. But to no avail, the password strength does not show any strength indication.

    I’m currently on WP 3.8.3 and user-registration-aide version 1.3.7.2.

    Can you please check what could be the problem?

    Plugin incompatibilities are really nasty. Although I am a developer, I could not look any deeper here, this is beyond my knowledge of the WP internals.
    Maybe you understand enough to figure out how to get this working. If you have a test-setup somwhere, you can just download NGG and activate it. Just activating is enough to show the behaviour.

    Hi once more ??

    thinking about this for a few minutes, I consider this a NGG “bug”, a incompatibility introduced by THEM.

    NGG has nothing to do and how ever on the registration page, i.e. they need to disable fiddling with JS on the registration page.

    AND I found out where this is. I’ll post it on the support link I opened for the NGG plugin, see above.

    I consider this topic closed, I have a solution, and I hope they will include it into their plugin.

    Sorry for causing you such much work. I could have thought of checking plugin conflicts earlier… but that did not cross my mind first.
