I’ve got a website running WordPress, and I’ve discovered that users with gmail addresses are unable to use the website’s “password reset” feature. The emails my server emails with the password reset link do not arrive to gmail recipients. However it does arrive to every other domain name I’ve tested so far, both custom domains and other mass services like Outlook.

The emails don’t bounce back any failure notice, and are not in the All Mail or Spam labels. It just never arrives to gmail users at all.

I have SPF records and DKIM setup on the domain for quite a long time, and I re-verified the setup today (no changes required).

I assume that at some point my IP address (shared hosting) got bad-listed by Google, not sure if that’s really the true case or how to get it fixed up if it even is true.

So far if any of my users need a password reset and the link doesn’t arrive, I just do it for them. But it would be helpful if Gmail would receive these emails.

PS. I don’t know why but shipping notifications/checkout notifications sent by when someone purchases from my WordPress store (WooCommerce) DO arrive. Not sure why the wordpress password resets do not.
