Password reset page not loading

    Hi there,

    We are experiencing issues with Wordfence interfering with the loading of domain.tld/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword on several sites.

    After clicking the ‘Lost password’ link on the login screen, the regular ‘Username or email address’ form is not loading but the login screen stays visible. Also the URL shows ‘wp-login.php?action=lost_pass’ while on a website that does load the lost password form the URL ‘wp-login.php?action=lostpassword’ is loaded.

    Switching Wordfence off resolves the issue. I cannot find any setting in Wordfence that could explain this. Am I overlooking something?

    Do you see any errors in the browser console when trying to login while Wordfence is activated? If so, can you please share a screenshot?

    Also, please check for a plugin/theme conflict by disabling all other plugins and switching to a WordPress default theme. If this helps, then reactivate them one at a time to find the culprit, if any.

    Hi Gerroald,

    thanks for the quick reply. There are no issues on either the Console or Network tab of the browser console.

    Deactivating all plugins resolves the issue. Switching only Wordfence on doesn’t cause the issue so there must be another plugin causing the issue.

    Diving into it further I found the issue was with the plugin Powerpack for Beaver Builder. An update released yesterday solved the issue!

    I’ll check more thoroughly next time before pointing a finger at Wordfence ??
