Password Reset Notice Showing Even for Invalid Email

When someone clicks to reset a password/lost password and they enter an email address that is not valid, it is not an existing customer account, they still see the notice that says ‘Password reset email has been sent. A password reset email has been sent to the email address on file for your account…’
The email is not being sent out — which is good, however, this is not the correct notice to show. It should show the Invalid username/email notice.
Can you advise on this?
