Does this plugin have an option to change the default message that appears on the lost password page? If not, does it have any code that would cause changes to the wp-login not to work? I’m trying to change the message and I should be able to do it with a filter on the wp-login page but it’s not working and I have this plugin installed so I wondered if there could be a conflict. Thanks!

Hello and sorry for a late answer.

I had to do some testing. There is no option to change the default message for the lost password page, to begin with (would be perhaps a feature in the future).

But I tried now a lot of stuff in my testing environment and couldn’t repoduce that behaviour.

Which filter do you use to change the message?

    Update:

Look at version 2.6.4 where you can change the message for the register and the lost password screen as well.

I would like to install the new version of the plugin on my test site to try it out before I install it on the live site, do you offer a developer license so I don’t have to buy it twice in order to test it? Thanks!

    Hello,

the plugin is licenced under the GNU GPL. So, you can install it on as many sites as you want and do whatever you want with it. You even can completely rewrite it. ??

If you think, it’s worth paying for, feel free do make a donation. ??

Thanks. I have an older version of the plugin installed and working on my live site and I want to be able to use the newer version, but there doesn’t seem to be an update function for the plugin – do I need to completely uninstall the old one and install the new one in order to use the new version?

When setting up your WP testing environment, just install the plugin from within the plugins panel of yout installation. The newest version is 2.7.

If you transport your existing installation to somewhere else and use it as a development environment, simply update the plugin from the updates panel.
