• When you clicks on “My account” and then on “lost password”, you are presented with a page in which you can enter your e-mail address to receive a passwork reset link. The problem is that the password reset link sent by e-mail will always lead you to the same previous page to enter the e-mail address. Seems like a loophole in WooCommerce.

After extensive research for the whole day, I have tried to:

    • updating everything
    • deactivate all plugins but “WooCommerce”
    • changing the endpoints of “lost password” page to several different ones
    • flushing all caches and later disabling every caching system , both at WP backoffice and at the hosting control panel (LiteSpeed cache)

I’d done all of the above first step by step, and later all at once. The problem persists even with a barebone website only with WooCommerce plugin, the standard WP template, no caches whatsoever, no CDN and new endpoints for lost password page.

I’m desperate! What else can I try, please? Thanks!

  • Hey there, @dharabt! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Can you please delete the .htaccess file and then go to Settings > Permalinks and click on the “Save changes” button without changing anything?

Additionally, head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

    • WooCommerce transients – Clear
    • Expired transients – Clear
    • Clear template cache – Clear
    • Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
    • Clear customer sessions -Clear

Next, please clear your browser and site’s cache and try again.

Furthermore, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:

System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.
Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs. Then you can use the selector to search for Fatal Errors.
You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi @dharabt

Just to be sure, is the password reset email template altered in any way, perhaps? Linked here is documentation on email, in WooCommerce configuration.

Feel free to contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support, in order to take a closer look, as more sensitive store data might need to be sent over. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

Please include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done.

We will be able to help you further there.

    Hi @anastas10s,

    Thank you for your response!

I have logged In but I am not able to “Submit a request” for core WooCommerce plugin in support. Can you please help to figure out? It has also message “We support our free core plugin in public spaces: our?docs?and?forums. You’re welcome to submit your question here, our AI helper will summarise the docs for you in a reply.”

    Hi @dharabt

Yes, we only support our premium extensions through our ticketing system. However, we would appreciate it if you could create a ticket with us so we can take a closer look at your issue.

Rather than choosing WC core, feel free to select any other option, like presale, and share your details. Remember to include the link to this forum thread so we can keep track of the progress made so far.

We will be able to help you further there.

    Thanks!
