I am struggling to change the password and your suggestion Liam does not work in my case….

Please try running the following SQL query in the SQL tab of your WordPress database in PHPMyAdmin.

UPDATE 'wp_users' SET "user_pass'= MD5('yourpassword') WHERE 'user_login'='yourusername';

What has changed with the later versions of WordPress as it use to work?

@cjc1867 Why doesn’t it work? I have used this on the most recent version of WordPress.

@cjc1867, Could you make sure ‘wp_users’ table exists in your database? What error you’re getting when you run the above query?

I have the same problem when i reset the password the link goes to my mail id but when i open that and reset the password the message shows after entering the password that invalid link

can you suggest me something

Thanks for the solution i will try it when same issue came in future but for now it has been resolve by deactivating cache plugin
