Hi. I have a WP site and use WordFence. I just tried to reset one of my passwords using the email recovery and it appears blocked according to the WordFence email I received: “Someone tried to recover the password for user with email address…”

I do not want WordFence blocking these requests. They rarely if ever happen so it’s not a security threat.

How do I disable this function? I don’t see it in the settings.

    Thank you.

    Hi @ms416,

I believe this flagged up because Wordfence > All Options > Email Alert Preferences > Alert when the “lost password” form is used for a valid user is checked. So rather than blocked, it’s just sent an alert in case you wanted to take manual action or it seemed suspicious to you.

If you uncheck this and hit SAVE, you shouldn’t see these come through in future.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
