• I have WordPress installed directly from Dreamhost. According to the WordPress FAQ section, an administrator should be able to go into OPTIONS and then PRIVACY and select a radio button requiring all visitors to enter a password before being able to view the blog.

That feature must be old or not available through the Dreamhost version of WordPress. The only two choices I get are:

    • I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers
    • OR

    • I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors

Can someone tell me how I can password protect the blog? I only want a restricted group of users to be able to view it and post/comment to it.

    Thanks very much in advance.
