Hello! I am currently hunting a new flipbook solution to my site and I stumbled on this good plugin after some bad experiences. I used another popular plugin for my digital magazines, but after one week I discovered that, even though I was using the protection password from wordpress posts, the magazines were open on google. Not from the post that was protected, but from the magazine created by the plugin. You could just search and find them online. This will happen here too? When I put the code from ipages flipbook on my post, people can find it on google? Another question: do you intend to put password protection on the flipbooks? Since my magazines are paid content, I can’t have them open online.

    Thanks for your attention.

This is a very interesting question. One moment, I still have no idea how to implement password protection for PDF book, I have not researched this opportunity yet, also as google search. If you have some ideas I will be glad to hear.

No ideas at all. I’m just a journalist that edits a digital magazine in Brazil. On another plugin that I used, you can click on some details and deny that google search find that particular page. But I don’t know if that works. I’ll give it a try with your plugin as soon my credit card clears.

I see, I will try to research your suggestions.

It is marked resolved – does it mean now you have password protection on those PDF – Password protection has actually nothing to do if it is found on Google Search or not as also other Search engines might feature it in their searches. Password protection rather should be implemented so that content is no more visible when the file got called directly, via a link. Unfortunately most so-called “restricted content – plugins” don’t protect the actual file so that it can’t be read when called directly via a direct link. Protecting a specific file envolves usually much more than only protecting it when called from within WordPress!
Perhaps you can explain how you resolved that problem here! Thanks – The plugin itself looks pretty good! Congratulations!

Is there actually a difference to the pro version which hasn’t been updated since 1/2 year now?
