• Is there anyway that you can remove the big “PROTECTED:” word that shows up when you password protect a page?

    Thanks!

I tried this thread and the code that they had me put in just gave me a vital error page.

    Any other suggestions?

I have tested the code provided in that post, and it works perfectly. If you are getting a “Fatal Error” (there is no such thing as a “vital error”), then it means you have an error in your formatting. The error will tell you what line the error is on or near. Most likely, you pasted the code into functions.php, but did not have it inside <?php tags.

If you are not able to find the source of that error, here is that same code in the form of a plugin. It is a plugin made just for you, so you will need to:

    1. Download the .zip
    2. Unzip its contents
    3. Upload the folder hide-private-and-protected-in-title to your site’s wp-content/plugins/ folder using FTP
    4. Active the plugin WP Admin > Plugins
