• I set up a password protected page which works fine – but only for me. It is a on a fully public web site and the page is designed as a restricted access page for members of a group. When I gave a small number of people the password to test the page and the password, they couldn’t access it and they got various error messages – these differed in chrome where it wouldn’t load at all ( and I don’t get that because I use chrome) and IE, and on a tablet the error said they were too many redirects to display the page. Any ideas ? Password protecting seems so simple but it’s not if it won’t work ! Thanks for any help

    What are those messages?

Hi Gilly Flick, How do you do?

as Tara has asked you, it would be really helpful if you share us what error messages are showing up?

Also, when you say “too many redirects”, does it go on a loop so that it still says “password protected”?

It could also be that you are trying to login on that password protected page, when you are actually logged-in as well via wordpress admin dashboard.

Would you care to log yourself out via your dashboard and try to access the password protected page please?

Let us know how it goes. Thank you!
