Password Protect Page Not Working since update.

  • I just updated one of my websites today with new version and the Password Protect page I have no longer opens with the password. I tried in both Chrome and FF. After I click Submit, it just refreshes to same page. Thanks in advance for any assistance! ??

    Thank you for checking that and posting here. Still not working for me. I even made it public and then changed it again but still can’t get in using password. ??

    I’m having the same problem since upgrade to 3.4.1.

    I’ve emptied the cache and created a new protected ‘test’ page with a new password and this does not work either, the page just loops back to the login prompt.

    Meanwhile client has protected content that is for the moment unprotected as this is the only way to access the pages. Far from ideal!

    Hope someone out there finds a fix for this : )

    I am having the same problem only it is further complicated by the fact that I “inherited’ the site I am working on from another developer and they set it up all crazy like! For example, there is no /lib folder in the site structure.

    Any way, for those of you that have a standard WP install, I found this on another site:

    Ran to the same problem. Passwords weren’t working on 3.4.1 or 3.4. Reverting to 3.3.2 worked.

    Still same problem and no solution. Will revert back to 3.3.2 also then. ??
