• How do I password protect images as well as the post? I was under the impression that I could apply a password to a post and all the content was protected, even the pictures. But that is a serious – NO. How can I protect the images as well?

    Thank you

  • Hi.

What do you mean exactly when you say that pictures are not password-protected? Tipically, if the post is private or secured, nobody should be able to access, which would include the pictures it displays.
Now, if you are talking about direct access to your pictures through Google Image Search or by URL (https://yourdomain/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/somepic.jpg for instance), you would need to password protect the folder the upmost directory you wish to secure with an .htaccess file.
You can do that by either writing your own server code or through your hosting’s control panel.

    Cheers!
