Right now, I have a website that requires two login prompts. The first is for my protected directories. The second is to log on to WordPress.

    The Question:

Is there a way to have this setup to just have one login prompt that signs the user into WordPress and also allows the user to gain access to the directories?

    Thanks for your time.
And please, if this has been asked before, if you can provide links to previous threads I would appreciate it. I’ve done searches, but couldn’t find anything relevant to my situation.

    anyone?

Protected directories? Do you mean you set a password in htaccess or in Cpanel to certain directories?

No, they use completely different authentication systems.

Like “ajd777” said, they are different authentication systems. But that’s actually a really good thing because it offers a dual layer of security, which is almost always what you want in order to protect the administration area of a public website.

Thank you both for your comments. Just another one of my posts that I wanted to make sure that there is no other way around my current solution.

    Thanks again.
