• Following an update to the plugin (I use WP 3.5.1) to the recent version I can now access the site only using Chrome browser. Safari and Firefox both not working – entering the password simply gets you in a loop into the password page.
Please advise if this bug can be solved or to which version will I need to revert iun order to access the site on all browsers?

    Thanks
    Anat

  • Why are you using an old copy of WordPress? Were you aware that your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked? You need to upgrade WordPress asap. As you have such an old version of WordPress, you will need to carry out a series of smaller manual upgrades. See Upgrading_WordPress_Extended for the full details.

I am checking to see if my theme is supported by more recent WP versions. If not, I’ll have to update that too. But will updating my WordPress version resolve this error? Or it might not be related?

    Hi,
Today I met a problem with Password protected: I logged in to the protected website. Afterwards, I closed the page. When I opened a new window and went to the site, it was still open. No protection. I even closed the browser window (I did not shut down the browser, though) it was still open….after cleaning the cache the password requirement reappeared.
I have utdated WP to 3.9.1.

Does the plugin set its own cookie? In that case, what do I do?

@piazawa Please post new questions as a new topic.

Yes, the plugin sets a cookie which is valid for 2 days.
I’m think of swapping this to just be for a single session by default.

@piazawa Sorry, just saw you posted as a new topic too ??
