Hi. We no longer work with the agency thay built this site for us so we’re not sure how everything was set up on the back end. We’re trying to change the password (we do it every year) but it’s not saving even after purging the cache. The way they have it set up, we have an Options item on the left menu of WordPress where we used to be able to edit the password (and some other custom fields like login name, location, etc.) but it seems this was built specifically so we wouldn’t mess with the plugin settings. Anyone have a workaround to update the password?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Are you able to get into wordpress to see the plugins and all the pages and posts? If not, then that is the first thing you need to sort out. Whenever a developer builds a site for a company they have to give that company access to their site unless there was another arrangement made. I cannot think of any other way to make a change to this because you have to login to WP as a person with permissions to make changes or as an admin.

    Hi @karinaisp,

Thanks for reaching out to us last night.

It looks like you’re protecting content using our [ppwp] shortcode. If so, you can change the passwords via the “passswords” attribute like this.

    [ppwp passwords= "password1 password2 custom-password3"] Your content [/ppwp]

You can refer to our PCP documentation for more information.

As suggested by @jlmiller, please try to log into the WordPress dashboard then send us a screenshot of your editor page in the back-end.

You might want to drop an email at [email protected] for faster assistance.

We look forward to your reply.
