Password not sent

Hi, this is how WordPress registers users by default, if you want the user to receive both login and password in the confirmation email then you can add the Custom Registration Email snippet https://github.com/simpliko/wpadverts-snippets/blob/master/custom-registration-email/custom-registration-email.php on your site.

I have saved the file as a php file. Do I have to save the raw file as a php file and then upload it to wp-content/plugins as a php file?

Yes, save the raw PHP file, upload to wp-content/plugins and then activate this snippet from wp-admin / Plugins panel.

I have uploaded the raw PHP file to wp-content/plugins
But I don’t see the plugin when I click on the menu item: Plugins in the admin of WordPress. What am I doing wrong?

Since there is no field to enter a password when someone ticks the box it says: Create an account for me so I can manage all my ads from one place (password will be emailed to you), is there a default password that is assigned to every new user?

Hi, ok great, just to clarify for other users reading this thread.

The Custom Registration Email snippet will generate a random password for a user, it is not possible to enter the password in the [adverts_add] form as then the password would need to be stored as plain text in the database.
