    Hello friends,

After user registration, where it is asked for name, email and password, apparently everything works fine. The user is automatically taken to the profile page.
However, their password is not saved. When exiting and trying to log in again, the system always returns with “invalid password”, causing the user to reset it. After this procedure, the password seems to get saved.

I already disabled the theme and enabled the ‘Twenty Twenty-one’, as well as all plugins. The error persists.

How do I save the password defined by the user when registering?

    Hi @mauriciodedo,

This might be because of any settings you applied in your password field. Try deleting you current password field from the registration form and re-add the default predefined password field ( Don’t make any change ). See if that works.

    Thanks.

    Hi @mansurahamed ,

I did exactly what you suggested: removed the password field from my default registration form and inserted a new one, just informing the required fields (title and meta key) and the problem persists:
When registering, I inform the password, within the determined security rules. Google even asks if I want to save the password, but when logging out and trying to login again, it shows me the incorrect password message.

    Whatelse can I do?

    Hi @mauriciodedo,

I don’t see you have used the default field in your registration page Here. You have probably tweaked the default settings as I don’t see any confirm password field. Please do not make any change and try the default field. I have seen other users having this issue when they try to make changes in predefined field settings.

    Thanks.

    Hi, @mansurahamed

    Thank you for your agility.

I used exactly the default password field and filled in only the mandatory informations.
Password confirmation is optional, as you can see in this screenshot.

I even did a test enabling password confirmation and even so, the login still doesn’t recognize the password.

    Hi @mauriciodedo,

This is not the default password field, why the metakey is showing as Senha? Metakey should be user_password . See this screenshot for the default password field

    Thanks.

    Great enlightment!
In fact, I was using another password field in the register form, so the password wasn’t “the same” from the login form one. I managed to apply the user_password in the registration form and now everything works, thank you very much @mansurahamed !
