• I recently moved my blog, and saved all the files on it before the move. I uploaded all of them, but that didn’t work for some reason, so I re-installed wordpress completely with the new version. It gave me a new password, and now everything is gone. I tried my old admin password, and it doesn’t work to bring the stuff back up.

What am I doing wrong here? Is there a fix? I do have all the old files…do I need to replace some new ones with old ones or something?

    Thanks!

  • WordPress has two components, the files, and the database that contains your posts, links, comments, pages. Doesn’t sound like you have your database moved.

I followed that, checked after overwriting a couple things, and it worked well. Now I screwed up something by overwriting. Here is the error message.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: add_filter() in /homepages/2/d205584958/htdocs/wp-includes/default-filters.php on line 4

    How do I fix this?

Thank you so much for your help.

I’d say your wordpress files are not complete/intact–try uploading them again or at a minimum reupload wp-includes/plugin.php (that file contains the add_filter function).
