Password ignored since version 3.3.9

    We have encountered a since version 3.3.9. First notice when installed 3.4.1, rolled back to get back to working version. Just tried 3.4.2 and problem still exists.

    We are using passter to protect a small part of page with a password. The problem is that now when we enter the password in , the part of page being protected acts as if no password has been entered, and juts reloads to the initial state again waiting for a password. If an invalid password is entered – it tells us that the password is not valid.

    As I say this was something introduced post version 3.3.9.

  • Hey @malcooke,
    please check your settings in Passster -> Options.

    Check if there is a valid value for the cookie setting (>0) and that the reload is activated.

    Also check if you are using a caching plugin, that you have excluded the cookie called “passster” from the caching settings.

    i have the same problem.

    I have set cookie = 2 and reload is actived.

    I use cdn but i have empty the cache

    Can you help me?

    if i set “cookie = 2 day” all users can view content without password.
    if i seto “cookie = 0 day” i see login form, but if insert password content not load

    Setting the caching plugin options to ignore the cookie fixed the problem.

    We have disabled the cache on the site
    We tried to get that url out of the cache check.
    We have set the cookies to 0 day
    The plugin still doesn’t work

    In any case it doesn’t work

    with the old plugin version 3.2.61 everything works. The problem is with the updated version.

    I’m having this same problem. Any solutions? I don’t have a caching plugin.
