I think I may have downloaded a backup but cannot find it on my computer. Do you know what the filename may be?

Also, that faq doesn’t say how to recover my password to regain access to my dashboard. Is that possible?

As Esmi pointed out, try the Resetting_Your_Password. This happened to me 4 years ago and back then when I followed the steps via phpMyAdmin it worked fine.
