Password e-mail

Hi, i’m new to wordpress and i’ve installed 2.7 (worked great, easy installation, flawless) but when i activate that users can register and i try to register as a new user and it says an e-mail has been sent with the password, but no e-mail is beeing sent. How can i fix it so users can register to the blog?
