  • Did you do the password reset page stuff at tamba2 ?

You should be able to put that in as plain text, let the db encode it then just enter the pw.

Yep I was just at the php and made sure. Do I have to change anything anywhere else? I did the retrieve pw and all it said was it was sending me the pw and user name. Also had a syntex error on the page when it said it sent me the email.

If you use the page I mean, there is no need to ask for it to send you an email as you have just set it.
The email feature is there for new random pw’s.

have you cleared your cache and cookies if you’ve got any login problems ?

I think I know what aprt of my porobelm is. I am letting the host install wordpress for me and I dont have a unique pw etc.

I have it installed with the basics now. I do have the blog working but cannot log into the admin area. So do I now just go into the phpswl area and change the user info in that database and thats it?

Strange….the tool that you used to import the sql (I assume it was phpmyadmin) should enable you to change your login password.

I know. It is driving me crazy. But I think I have an idea. I am going to reinstall it all from my machine instead of letting fantastico do it.. I think thats part of the problem. I did get my db uploaded with all my stuff on them except the images, etc. thats to come soon.

Thanks! I will let you know how it goes

OK I figured out what my probelm was! I was using the NEW password and login when I uploaded the OLD database. When I used my OLD pw and login, no problems!!!!!

Glad it sorted for you ??
