Jobs listings page, job search page, submit jobs page, account page created, all well and good.

    But.

    1. After creating a new listing it doesn’t direct user to the jobs Dashboard.

    2. It emails the user a username, but doesn’t email them a password or give the option to create a password.

So how are users meant to login to or access their account (dashboard). They need a password to login to the main site, so a password needs to be generated here.

    Please explain.

    Thanks.

    Hi!

If disabling that plugin resolves the issue, let me know, as there’ll no longer be anything for me to do. ?? If it doesn’t resolve the issue, we can dig into it some more. Thanks!

    Hi,
Thanks for your helpful comments and reply. So I’ve disabled the alleged problem plugin and it’s made it worse. Now, not only can new user not register, the site won’t let them even post a job.
    Please advise.

    Kind regards,

    Nico

    Hi,

On your register page, I still see a plugin has taken over the default WordPress registration page.

I really think that at this point, you need to, in a sense, start over. Remove everything from the site, any plugins and any theme customizations that you may have done that have any relation to logging in to the site, even if tangential (including WP Job Manager). Then, add things in back one by one, starting with WPJM.

    Hi,

So finally I managed to make it work. The user can post a job, create a username and have their password emailed to them. Great. They can then use their username ans password to log in. Great. When logged in, however, navigating to the admin panel which displays their newly posted job, nothing is visible. Central Admin, (me) has approved that job listing but, despite this, nothing appears in the user’s job listing panel.

    I’m getting there, slowly….. ?? please advise.

    Kind regards,

    Nico

    Hi!

Where are they going, exactly? On this page, do you have the [job_dashboard] shortcode?

Hi, yes, so between title and title there is a blank space no items found in the management panel, despite the fact the user has posted a job….

    Thread Starter adsler26

    (@adsler26)

Actually maybe not. But what it’s doing is directing me to the admin page of another plugin after login…how to fix?

    Thread Starter adsler26

    (@adsler26)

but even when i disable the other plugin, then no job management panel appears, just user profile etc…so how do i redirect to the page with [job_dashboard] after login?…

    Thread Starter adsler26

    (@adsler26)

I’ve set the page to where it should go in the plugin settings, disabled every other plugin which might cause conflict, and still it’s not directing to the page with [job_dashboard] on it…

    Thread Starter adsler26

    (@adsler26)

I mean there’s nothing superceding it, so there seems no reason why it shouldn’t be directing to the jobs dashboard page on initial job creation and login…

    Hi,

I’m sorry, but you keep bouncing from one problem to another. Especially with the login problems, I’m convinced that the issue has to do with whatever you’ve done to modify logins/registrations and redirections on the site. If you can reproduce the issues with JUST WPJM active, then I can assist, if you can give me exact steps to reproduce the issue on my or your site.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I see it can seem like that and it must be a lot of work responding to all these queries-I empathise entirely.

That’s why everything except the most pressing questions I try to resolve myself rather than ask needlessly.

Let me disable every other plugin except yours, reproduce and get back to you.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

    Cheers,
