Passing the Referrer

Did you get anywhere with this? I’m new to using the plugin and it seems like all the traffic just shows up as “direct” in Google Analytics.

Any response to this? It’s kind of a major issue.

No response! The developer didn’t fixed this issue. May be they made less customers so don’t like to work much adding new features in the plugin!!

We have further checked into the URL Shortify and found that when we do 301 redirections, it actually breaks the referrer chain and doesn’t pass the actual referrer to Google Analytics.

It’s a common issue and it happens with all URL Shortener services like Bityly, TinyURL, etc..

The workaround for this issue is to tag the URL with UTM parameters.

We do have support for UTM Parameters in the PRO version. You may want to try it out.

Actually, my issue was to pass the full URL referrer to the destination URL when using 302 or 307 redirects.
For example:

Website page: https://mywebsite.com/website-page
Shortened link: https://mywebsite.com/shortened-link
Affiliate link: https://affilatelink.com/some-url

So, Shortened link should be passing Website page full URL referrer to the Affiliate link when it’s clicked on the Website page on 302 or 307 redirects.

A linking shortening plugin like HighWayPro that I used before have that option. Isn’t it possible on URL Shortify?
