Passing the password in a URL

Yes, you can allow users to bypass password protection with Quick Access Links.

In other words, users won’t need to enter passwords to access your password protected pages. They will be able to access the content directly via our Quick Access Links.

Please let us know if it makes sense to you.

What type of content do you want to protect, by the way?

I want to protect a page with your plugin and password then send out a url to that page containing the password.

I tried the following syntax https://pagename/loginpage?password=abc123

But it did not work

To prevent users from sharing your passwords, we have to actually “encode” the password into random characters.

So the URL will look like this: https://passwordprotectwp.com/protected-page/?ppwp_ac=eyJwYXhjNzd29yZCI6IjMyJ9

That requires advanced functions and UI to handle the password expiry as well.

Due to that complexity, the feature is only available on our PPWP Pro version.
