Passing null to parameter #2 ($subject) of type string is deprecated

  • Hi, after getting infected by a malware, successfully cleaned, my scanner still giving these two errors when check for malwares:

    I’m running the website on CPanel 112 under Apache2 and PHP 8.1 – Wordfence Free

    I’ve tried to delete and reinstall Wordfence cleaning all using Assistant, but the error still there.

    Tried to downgrade PHP 7.4 too (since the first talk about deprecation).

    Hope someone could help, many thanks

    Hi @andreyo, thanks for reaching out to us about this.

    This isn’t a message we often see, but could be caused by a malformed URL or binary data that nearly matches the format of a URL, but we will need to determine that.

    Try enabling the debug mode at the bottom of Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics, then email us a scan log when it finishes to wftest @ wordfence . com, which might help narrow down which file causes it. Let us know here when you’ve sent it and a partially redacted version of your domain (mys—.com) to help us find it.

    I’ve just send the log to the address. The domain is techjo—–.it

    It’s a full root scan, so it contain all the website in the account, even the one that is not wordpress.

    I have this same question. Cleaned site, scan OKAY then when running 12 hours later it throws errors, Wasn’t giving these scan errors until today when I ran a scan again. It makes me wonder if there’s been malicious activity over the last 12 hours? I tried reverting PHP version just to see if that helped like Op said.. It does the same thing on 7.4 8.0 8.1 8.2
