Pass value to forms without using query string

Hi,
I would like to be able to pass a value to a form without using a query string. I have one form that I plan to use on several pages. There is a “Product of Interest” field with 5 products. I would like to have the product preselected according to the page the visitor is on so that I can use the same form on different pages. I am comfortable with setting a variable depending on the page but I need to understand how to pass the variable to the form field.
