Pass value in the email sent from formular

According to the FAQ page for the plugin, you need to have [getparam value] in the form, which will create a hidden field with your value for value field. Then, in your CF7 form, you use [value]. On there, it says:

“You cannot pass a value to the response email using ([showparam value]) , to do that, you will also have to add a hidden field.”

So if my URL was

https://www.myurl.com/?myvalue=abc123

I would use [getparam myvalue], which would return a hidden field with abc123 in it, and then use [myvalue] in my email to display it in my message. That would work, according to the FAQ page.
