Pass Category as option in shortcode?

  • Is there a way to pass category as an option in the shortcode for output? For example, I’d like to be able to pass the categories for podcasts in this format:

    “Category – Topic”

    But I don’t need the category to appear in other places I use the shortcode output. For example, I don’t need “News Headlines” to be shown next to the headlines…

    Thoughts?
