    Hi,

I’m making a site for Danish customer and have decided to use WP as CMS – I have the plugins Static Front Page and Folding Page List(and have made the relevant changes in the php files) installed. The problem is that whenever certain – most – menu links (“pages”) are clicked nearly all of the menu/leftbar.php disappears, and only becomes visible aggain when the cursor is moved. It seems to happen most often after the page link “Om os” has been cliked – this page is the only one with a child/sub page….
Does anyone know how to resolve this?
The problematic site can be seen and testet at https://typezero.dk/testsite/

    Thanx

  • I have no problem with FireFox.
    Clear your browser cache?

    IE6 is fine, too…

I am using IE6, and have cleared my browser cache – as suggested by PozHonks – but still get the problem! If U move the cursor immediately after clicking a link in the menu you probably won’t notice it – please, if U would, try positioning the cursor over e.g. the “Om os” link then click it without moving the cursor and U will se what I mean.

I have tested it in Netscape (in all display modes; as Firefox, IE and NS) and it works fine except for the fact that it is no longer full screen – I get a fat white space left and right (in Firefox and NS modes)?

Thank you very much for the feed back by the way…

    >>try positioning the cursor over e.g. the “Om os” link then click it without moving the cursor<<

I tried it again – in both Firefox and IE6 – I still don’t see anything wrong.

    Thanx again – strange… maybe I should reinstall IE…

No, there’s definitely a problem. I’m using IE6.02 and SP2 and I get the error. Firefox is cool, though.

I got the same version of IE6 as theiconoclast31 and SP2 too – I’m not sure but I have the feeling that is has something to do with fluid width themes, because it works fine with the (fixed width) default theme…any ideas on that?

Ditto here – IE 6.02 SP2. I see no problem. I’m on cable – maybe the connection speed has something to do with it? A couple of the pages took long enough to load that I noticed it – made the page look breifly like it was blank – but it was just the graphics loading. No sidebar movement at all.

    doodlebee (thanx for the suggestion):
It’s true that some of the pages take a long time to load (strange too as there is no resource demanding images on the pages), but I’m also on cable and a very fast connection at that. And I’ve tried to let cursor remain on the the cliked link for a minute, but the left bar menu simple doesn’t repear until the cursor is moved again – (in my browser window ?? )- and for some reason the site works fine on my local pc installation and in IE6, but, as it where, not on the remote server for all users…

I have decided to try out a diffrent theme – I think that will be more cost effective in the end.

    Thanx guys
