Particles animation appears to double load

    I have a site:

    https://simplygram.com

    and I am loading the particles animation onto the animated background on the homepage using premium addons for elementor.

    The particles seem to load perfectly at first, however when the .onload event for the page fires, they appear to load again.

    Is it possible this is a problem with particles.js? Would there be any workarounds I could use to prevent particles.js from double loading like this?
    I’m willing to even right custom JS to solve the issue if needed. I just can’t seem to debug the source of the problem
