    Hi!

I have installed and implemented your plugin “Participants Database Locations Map”.
After some problems, it now seems to work, almost.
Because of personal law and GDPR I do not want to ask for the street address of those who sign up. Because of this, only the city, state and country calculate where they are on the map.
I notice that if someone is registered in the same place (ie city and country) then only one cursor will be displayed at this location, and it seems arbitrary who comes up in the info field.
Is there any way to get around this so that everyone in the same location appears with their own pop-up info?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

This is a limitation of Google maps in general, I’ve looked into this before and there aren’t any good solutions to this. Google’s position is that you need to provide different location information for each marker.

In theory, you could slightly randomize the location data, but the plugin is not set up to allow that currently.

I use google maps but on a different plugin and the problem is not that the pin is not there but they are stacked up on top of each other so you only see the top one.

You have to either enter a more specific address or manually edit the marker location in google maps.

    Hi!

    Thanks for reply.
I then choose to remove the option of “pop-up” info for the markers.
Instead, I get a marker for each place / city that is registered.
So then I hope maybe there will be an update with the possibility of “randomize” geolocations located on the same lat / long. For example, with 0.0005 degree

Geirhog, there was a discussion of this a bit over a year ago at https://xnau.com/product_support/locations-map/comment-page-1/#comments

I am very interested in this plugin & what it can do.

I would like to use this for airports, how will it show if I have more than one marker at the exact same location?
Other programs I have seen combine them into one marker with the number of icons.

This is an interesting question. I had not considered how to handle multiple markers in the same location. As it is, it will just stack them on top of each other, but that could be changed.

Could you point me in the direction to learn how to make this happen?

Looks like it’s possible, but requires a pretty deep dive into the code. Check out this response at Stack Overflow There may be some more discussions on the subject there as well.
