Partial refund gets recorded twice in WooCommerce

    When a partial refund is issued for a credit card payment the refund posts in the WooCommerce dashboard for the order then a minute later the refund posts for a second time along with the paypal refund id when looking in paypal dashboard only 1 refund is posted though but woocomrce dashboard is showing 2 refunds

    This is a known issue and will be addressed in one of the next updates.
    In some cases, it has helped to resubscribe to the webhooks.

    To make sure you are subscribed to the latest webhooks, please visit the Webhooks Status page.

    First,?click on?Resubscribe,?and after the page is reloaded,?Simulate?to verify that the webhooks are received.
    It may take a few seconds until a confirmation appears.
    Please let us know if that makes a difference for you regarding partial refunds.

    Hi.

    I did as instructed and can report that this solved the issue. The refund ID did not import so only one refund is showing.

    Update: Eventually the refund ID came in and 2 refunds posted with additional weird messages

    Thanks for the feedback.
    A fix for this behavior will likely be included in the update around the middle of the month when this PR has been merged: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/pull/621
    Before it goes live with the (most likely) 1.8.1 update, there will be a new pre-release version on GitHub sometime early next month that most likely contains this proposed fix.
    Since there’s a PR and a potential fix package in sight, I’ll mark this thread resolved already and thank you again for the feedback.
