Partial content restriction

    Hi all,
    I am using the free version of the ARmember plugin.
    I am trying to set content restriction on my site, for example by making some posts available only for paid plans.

    The result, however, is not the expected one. The restricted posts in fact become completely invisible to users who do not have access to them. I would like the posts to be shown anyway and that once clicking on it you can read a small portion of the article with the possibility to subscribe to the plan to read the full article.

    I see that there is this possibility with ArMember plugin but I can’t set it.
    When I try to edit individual posts I can’t find anywhere the shortcodes for the partial content restriction.

    Hello,

    Regarding display partial content, as I understood your concern you are currently unable to access the page to which you have added partial content. If so then this might happen if you have also restricted the page/post from ARMember -> Content Access Rules page too.

    So, if you want to restrict partial content and you want to allow members to access the page then you don’t need to restrict from content access rules.

    Thanks for your reply.

    I made a test with one of my posts. Now this post is not restricted from Content access rules. I added the restriction shortcode directly editing the page and adding the shortcode block and saying that the post should be visible only for Pro Plan users.

    The result now is that the full post content is always visible, also if you don’t have Pro plan active.
    What I want to obtain is that if you don’t have the permission you can only read a few lines of the article and it’s shown something like: “Do you want to read the full article? Pay the Pro Plan.

    Can you help with this?

    Hello,

    I understood your concern that you have removed the restriction from the page and now all the content is visible to the member that also does not have the membership plan. But kindly confirm that the shortcode you have added for the restricted content is added properly.
    For example, if you want to display the premium content for Plan ID 2 then you need to use the shortcode as given below:
    [arm_restrict_content plan=”2,” type=”show”]
    Add Premium Content/HTML Here
    [armelse]
    Add Content for Nonpremium members or for visitors here.
    [/arm_restrict_content]

    Kindly check accordingly and you will get it to work without any issue.

    Hi,
    After some attempts I manage to do that.
    So now a user with Pro plan can see the full article, while an unregistered user only few lines of it.

    But how can I show the box wich says: “Want to read the full article? Subscribe to our pro plan” as seen in your website demo?

    I am having the same problem… I’m unable to use restrictions without blocking the ENTIRE post… I need a way to insert a restriction into a post that allows the first 20 to 50 words to show, but then indicates to the user that in order to see the rest of the article, they must REGISTER.



    Do you have an easy way to do that, please?
